SUBMARINE SEA STORIES NEEDED!

We are seeking sea stories highlighting the life and times of a submariner at sea or on shore. Humorous stories, interesting stories, sad stories... we are interested in them all.

What do we plan to do with these stories? Well, we are pursuing our dream of acquiring one of the few remaining diesel boats from the submarine service, that are still in operation overseas, to be used as a museum ship. Thus, in order to raise funds for such a venture, we are presently writing a book highlighting the life and times of a United States submariner, as spoken through the sea stories of those submariners.

What is in it for you? Well, first of all, you will be helping to contribute to the hope of saving one of the few remaining diesel boats from the scrapyard. Second, if your sea story is published in our book, you will receive a complimentary copy of our book to be able to show all of your friends and family that you are "published". We give full credit to the contributors of sea stories in our book.

We accept sea stories in many formats. You can e-mail us your sea story in any word processor format. You can write it on a piece of paper and fax it to us at (414) 764-4007 (be sure to include your name and contact information). Or you can video your sea stories and send us the video (that would make a great project with your grandchildren asking questions about what you did in the submarine service).

Just don't be shy! Your sea stories can be of any length. The only thing we ask is that you DO NOT send us operational stories that might still be classified (for example, stories of operations inside Russian waters, since (wink, wink) the official US government position is that no American submarine would ever have thought to intrude upon such prohibited waterways.
