Cold War Submarines “LED” pictures feature miniature lights (LEDs) that highlight major elements in the picture. For pictures that show only a submarine at sea, the major elements are typically only the submarine’s running lights. For pictures that include a major land mark, like the Golden Gate Bridge or other significant structure, the lights “outline” the land mark or structure and the submarine’s running lights.
LED pictures are powered by an AC wall adaptor that plugs into any regular 110 volt AC household outlet. The AC adaptor is included with the picture.
LED stands for “Light Emitting Diodes”. These miniature lights typically come in red, yellow or green. They have an approximate life of 100,000 hours or 10 years of continuous use.
